May - July, Times Square billboard advertisement by Panthera: Wild Cats Are Vanishing
For two months, two of Philip’s images were featured in a video billboard advertisement by the wild cat conservation organisation Panthera in Times Square, New York.

2008
January – December, Photography Projects
Philip spent 2008 on photographic safaris in East Africa, visiting the Maasai Mara, Buffalo Springs and Samburu National Reserves, Amboseli, Nakuru, Hell’s Gate, Tsavo, Chyulu Hills and Nairobi National Parks, the Eburu Forest and Kinangop Plateau in Kenya, The Serengeti National Park and Lake Natron in Tanzania and Virunga Mountains National Park in Rwanda.
During this time Philip developed his ‘Grass Cam’, a novel device enabling him to take photographs at ground level from a vehicle.
